HI COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THE TINTS ON THE NEW C MAX ARE DARKER THAN THE TINTS ON THE OLD C MAX I HAVE PRIVACY GLASS ON MY 04 C MAX GHIA AND SOMEONE I KNOW HAS PRIVACY GLASS ON HIS 08 C MAX ZETEC AND HE INSISTS HIS TINTED WINDOWS ARE DARKER THAN MINE AND TOLD ME FORD TINT THE WINDOWS ON THE NEW C MAX DARKER THAN THEY DO ON THE OLD ONE COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THIS IS TRUE THANKS

Yup the tints on the new C-Max are way darker but only from the B pillar back, so it is quite dark in the back, I had my rear glass "Limo blacked" by the dealer when I bought it on my 05 2.0 TDCI and you cannot see in the back unless you hold your hands over the glass and touch your face on it!!!

Great for car security and keeps the kids quite on sunny days, but whatever you do do not get full limo black on the fronts (Side Glass)as you cannot see a thing at night and it is very dangerous, we also have a Picasso 2.0 HDI and that is near limo black all round, we have to be exrtra careful when driving at night when pulling out of junctions etc, I may even take it off and get it redoneon the fronts and get it clear lined instead, as it stops breakins as it keeps the glass all in one place and is actually really hard to break through.

Do not roll it into a river though!!! may be tough to get out of then...

There are strict rules (Construction and UseLegislation) about the amount of light that the front side windows and the windscreen can allow through. Exceeding this figure ( ican get it if anyone wants) and you could leave yourself open to a very BIG fine for non compliance if the police decide to DO THEIR JOB

The following comes from Regulation 32 of the Road Vehicles Construction and Use Regulations 1986 as amended up to 2008

Please excuse some of the above

People taking liberties with both their own and other peoples safety and a lack of consistent Traffic Law enforcement are two of my major concerns over the roads network nowadays

My 53 plate 2.0TDCI didn`t come with window tints so I have ordered a set of sun blinds,these cover rear sides & tailgate.Ford want nearly £100 +vat +del.I`ve got it for£105 delivered.Not fitted yet but will do so if it ever stops raining

I think I'm lucky in the fact that the rear doors have in built sun blinds for the kids that pull up.
Still,I would like some tint on the windows just that I've found some chrome bits to buy instead
