tuning chip

Have you seen these tuning chips that appear every now and then on ebay for aroung £99 and upwards?

Leading of the main unit is two cables with a male connector on the end of one cable and a female connector on the end of the other cable.

So it plugs inline somewhere.

Does anybody know where?

Thanks, Ken

Sorted.

I've managed to find out where it goes.
yep usually between the common rail pressure sensor and the ecu, although some do have connections to the injector wiring as well.
Talking of tuning chips.....

I've not long had a Focus C-Max that I boughtwith the ideaof gas convertingit.

Does anyone know if I could still gas convert after chipping?
You should still be able to `chip` it after conversion as the chip works on the ecu & not the type of fuel running the engine.
Ok thanks for that Metalmickey08.
Given that insurance companies want approved LPG conversion certificates before they'll cover it might be worth seeing who are in the market and what limitations they might apply
A good company to try is Adrian Flux.I use them for the C-Max & RangeRover, same policy of course.
