Hi,

Have just purchased a '54 plate 1.8 zetec, seems fairly tidy, but it does have a ticking/clicking/squeaking noise coming from under the bonnet, took it back to the garage, and they diagnosed, a good old, no fault found! as it is 2nd hand and unless something is hanging off they will not touch it...their words not mine!

Any ideas on what this noise will be?

Had what souds like a similar problem. Turned out to be the battery cover. A good chunk of foam between the battery cover and the top of the bonnet area cured mine
