I've seen this a few times. The unit needs reprogramming, it seems that there's a corruption somewhere in the radio which can only be fixed by sending away. This is from a Dealers point of view, can't say whether there's a tech geek who might be able to do it...???

There are two types of Sony head-unit. A single disk, MP3 player or the six disk multi-player.
I bought the MP3 player new from Ford, it then had to be configured to the car by the dealer.
This took about twenty minutes & opened up previous unavailible features such as dimming control, speed control etc.
The clock can be set via RDS or manually, (which I prefer).
Have had no problems since & is a far superior head unit to the cheap & nasty entry level one.

I know you can fit a couple of Sony head units in,but,I have a 12 month old Clarion DXZ668RMP unit in my RangeRover, due to cost of running I wondered if it was possible to have this unit fitted? Also would the hands free on srteering colum work? If not I`ll have to sell the system, shame as it cost over £300 and has fantastic sound.
