Hello there,
Apperantly my cmax is fitted with the opptional sports springs,
im just wondering has any body elses cmax got this as a original dealer fitted option?

If it anything like Range Rove used to do then it ought to be possible to know the spring rate by the coloured stripes across the coils

thats intresting, as i have noticed the rear springs are of thicker gauge coil when compared to higher riding cmax and also have colored bands on them that are not apparent on all cmaxs that i have looked at.

The ride height is about 30mm lower than a standard car and more level front to back than standard which are pitched up more at the rear.

With a little assumption about the steel quality there is a calculation that gives the spring stiffness in terms of deflection per unit load.

Forgot to add the rides quite firm with very little roll through bends but it tramlines terribly on any type of rut or ridge.
