The biggest problem with the C-Max petrol variant, is that a strong engine has been married to a duff gearbox. With 125bhp and plenty of torque for a petrol, the gearing should have been longer.My 1.8 C-Maxis revving 3,000rpm + in 4th when cruising at 50mph. This is crazy - the old Focus Zetec SE engine would have been puring at 2,400rpm. The answer - install a better gearbox!
