Hi all,

I have recently purchased a 2008 CMAX TITANIUM 2.0TDCI with the X PACK fitted (which includes the full leather interior).

I would like to fit a (stage 2) front facing child seat onto one of the rear passenger seats and although the child seat fits in the rear of the car, the owner's manual indicates that the rear head restraint has to be removed prior to fitting the child seat.

There is a button to raise and lower each head restraint, but I am having difficulty in removing it completely. Can the head restraints be removed on seats that are full leather (is there a hidden locking feature?) or is it safe to keep the head restraint in place? I have asked this question in several Ford dealerships and haven't been able to get a positive answer. Can anyone help me?

Many Thanks
