I CANNT FIND THE POLLEN FILTER ON MY C MAX IT DOES NOT SEEM TO BLOW A LOT OF AIR BUT COULD NOT FIND IT TO SEE IF IT NEEDS REPLACING . IT ALSO GETS MISTED UP A LOT AND NEEDS THE AIR CON ON A LOT , WHEN I HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM ON A SCENIC I CHANGED THE FILTER AND THAT SORTED THE PROBLEM OUT

The polen filter is effectively below the radio, in the space behind the gear lever

you get to it from the passenger footwell and have to slide it into the footwell. I've got the section from the TIS disc if you'd like to PM me an external email I'll send it to you

I changed my pollen filter this afternoon, What a difference to the air flow, its like a hurricane now.


If the design person who decided to put the filter where it is, islooking at this forum, YOU DESERVE TO BE FIRED, what a stupid place to put it.Edited by: velcrohead

I'm not sure given all the other items shoe-horned in that there are many other alternatives without making everything larger and thus heavier

THAKS FOR THE INFO CHECKED FILTER AND LOOKS LIKE A NEW ONE IS NEEDED , NO SIGN OF THE FOOTWELL BULB HOLDERS UNDER THERE CAN SEE THE HOLES THEY MENT TO GO IN , MAYBE THEY NOT ON THIS MODEL A 1.6 ZETEC . THANKS AGAIN

Just found my footwell bulb holders on my 1.8 zetec. They were located at the bottom of the dash above the footwellnear to the doors on each side. The bulbs are all glass so you just push them into the holders. Hope this helps.
