I was thinking.................

The interior plastics, the lower doorcards, the plastic from under the dash and around the gearleveron the cmax, would it be possible to change the colour smply by using regular car shop strap apint or is there another option? Or is this simply not recommended.

I used to do this to my cars but with the price I pay for my cars nowadays ifI continued to do so my wife would divorce me. I used to spray my interior like you would a car firstprimer it with plastic primer then spray what coulour you want it , then laquer it.I swear it looks great. I changed my interior plastics as I have a ghia with the dark wood affect. I went to ford and got the gear knob ghia surround and the plastic strip on the dash allin silver and now the car looks much better not so dull and the wife is happy as I am not running the risk ofwrecking the car.

You hit the nail on the head............

When looking for the car there was certain boxes to be ticked and the only one tha didn't get ticked was for a black interior. Personal choice i suppose.

Mines got a dark grey interior.

I was thinking ofpainting the plastics costhe thought finding a full interior in blackwould be rare let alone expensive.

You can tell that i've got to much time on my hands

This can be done and I do this when I repair car interiors.

There is special pant that does not flake off made by SEM. They also make a plastic adhesion aid that you spray on first.

If you can't find a SEM dealer near you, let me know and I will see if my supplier will supply non trade customers.
