That is interesting because I’m a new member too AND I’m having exactly the same issue! In fact, your picture is a carbon copy of mine.

I too have a 2017 C-Max Energi. I purchased it in January and we’ve had such cold weather here I never questioned the “outside temp./other” indicator, but now that we’re enjoying temperatures in the 70’s I expected it to change.

Also, if you notice, the ”climate control use” indicator is also reduced. Mine is the same even when I don’t even use climate control at all, which is most of the time.

Would really like to get to the bottom of this.

Orion said his is doing this with temp ranges of 20F - 90F so I can't imagine it's the temperature, and though the warmest it's gotten here so far this year is 70F my indicator remains pegged far left no matter what the temp is.

And, my climate control use indicator moves left and right regardless of whether or not I use the climate control. The colder the outside temp, the more it drops even though I don't even turn on the climate control!

I actually took my C-Max to a Ford dealership to have them hook it up to see what the problem was because, like Orion, I assumed it had to be "other" causing this. They were real skeptical they would find anything and suggested I do a little more online research before paying their diagnostic fee, hence my coming here to see if anybody had a clue. Was surprised to find a post pretty much exactly like the problem I'm having posted just a few days ago! Would love to know what's causing this.

Interesting. If this was caused by an issue with the alternator that should show up when running a diagnostic, and, I would think, be covered by the power train warranty.

My “available miles” and actual miles have never lined up - I’m always getting fewer miles per charge than it says I’ll get.

As far as I have seen, all of my internet research has only come up with something that might be remotely applicable. I don't remember where I saw it, but somebody mentioned that their alternator was aging and putting more resistance into the system. They replaced it and their mileage went up. This may have been coincidence, but I don't have any other information to go on. It seems nobody really has an answer for this.
Here’s something I just noticed - whenever I look at the energy flow display it shows a constant stream of energy flowing to a spot in the cabin labeled “other.” They would not have this on the display if there wasn’t a way to stop the flow to the “other” area as all other energy destinations on this display will turn on and off and even reverse directions depending on how I’m driving at that time, however, try as I might i simply cannot get the “other” energy usage to stop.

If somebody could run down what this is I think we might have a solution to the problem.
