Hi,

Just bought a 54 plate C max - we had to because of our 6 month old son.

Dead chuffed with the car!

One question for anyone who may know, Can I fit ISOFIX child seats into it?

The dealer said that they were fitted as standard, went to Halfords to get the seat fitted and they couldn't find that attachments in the car?!?!?!

So, has it got them or not? can anyone help?

Thanks,

Howdy mate, haven't took delivery of mine yet, but im sure i heard somewhere this is definetly possible.

If i were you mate i would contact either ford directly or just approach random ford dealer's.

Hope its some use fella, Jamie.

I have a 53 plate Cmax and have just fitted a Maxi Cosi isofix base for our Maxi Cosi Cabriolet car seat.

Did it myself, dead easy; fold down required rear seat. Pull down the plastic strip where the fabric clips onto the seat frame. This will come away and expose the foam / rubber of the seat. I pulled out the foam, and tucked the seat fabrix under the bar that has the Isofix hooks. Fold seat back. Hey presto the isofix hooks are there and ready to go. I then fitted the isofix base, (easy) and the maxi cosi cabriolet (easy)

However next time I pass a ford dealership I will check with them that it is all as it should be - dont want to have fitted it incorrectly.

Hi there. I just approached my Ford Dealer about Isofix, having been told that the provision for Isofix is built into the car, but would still have to pay for the connectors to be fitted. They then proceeded to tell me it would cost me £60 per seat to fit. (i've got twins so double bubble). I have decided against it, but have now been told that the Maxi Cosi Priori XP may not fit into the C-Max because Ford have deliberately made the seat belts too short in an attempt to get you to buy their own car seats??!! Can anyone confirm this??

We have a Maxi Cosi Tobi for our daughter. The belts are just long enough but as the seat is quite tall it doesn't pull the upper portion back into the seat back. I think it's because of the angle of the top belt anchor.
