I've had my 05 2.0TDCI Ghia for just over 6 months now and it seemed fine until now.
When driving down the road, the car seemed to lose power - no warning, engine management light, no nothing!. Once I had pulled over, I tried reving the engine and it built the revs up ever so slowly until about 3500rpm when it came back to life again. I reved it a few times after that and it all seemed fine.
I wasn't too concerned about it until yesterday when I tried pulling out at a junction and the same thing happened again so I dipped the clutch reved it up and it all seemed normal again. Since then, I have put another 100 miles on the clock and it is fine.
I have been reading threads about the EGR valve but I didn't notice any black smoke coming from the exhaust so I'm not sure if this could be realted to this problem.
I know if I take it to ford, they won't find anything wrong with it due to no faults being detected by the ECU.
Any help and advise would be much appreciated!
