Whenever I hear people talk about their New C-Max, they seem to complain how bad their mpg is compared to their old car or the manufactures figures. what I say is switch your "MENU" to "Average MPG" and drive on that and you will get near to the Manufactures figures!
I believe it to be a splendid car

Just a point that even the motoring journo's have said that nobody ever gets close to the quoted figures for the 2.0L diesel in whichever body across the whole Ford range

Can someone tell me how to change the readings from instant to average please.  Also believe it should be possible to change driving mode from sporty etc. but have also been unable to change these settings.  Perhaps my 2.0 tdi ghia 05 is not fitted with with these options.  Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

If you scroll to the MPG window and reset it then it will show you what MPG you get as soon as you drive off. Of course though, this window will settle down and give you the all round figure of your MPG.
When I went on holiday to North Yorkshire I reset the MPG as soon as I hit the Motorway. I set the cruise control and managed to hit 51 MPG
