The TIS disc suggests that the instrument panel illumination can't be changed It also suggests that the dimmer switch is external to the cluster but doesn't say where the wiring for it differs from non-dimmable

My 06 Focus C-Max had adimmer but my 08 C-Cax doesn't. I don't find it too bright though. The panel lights are on whether the road lights are on or not - it may be the new instrument panel is LED lit which makes it more difficult to fit a dimmer, if it is possible at all.

I've been checking on similar basis about instrument panel dimming
I think
the panel dimming option normally (but not necccesarily exclusively) comes with having front fog lights as there don't seem to be headlight switches without front fog lights that have the dimming control

anyone want to prove me wrong please

Mine has a dimmer (1.8 TDCi Titanium) but it's not exactly effective, doesn't dim down enough in my opinion.

Occaisionally when I switch the headlights on the dash / radio displays do not dim. Switching headlights off / on usually fixes it.

Ho Hum, time to book it back in for the 4th time in 2 months!!!!

What does "Ford" stand for?
