I believe the fuel tanl on al to be 55L or just a fraction over 12 gallons
Thus at 30 MPG this equarws ro 360 miles or with a diesel at 50 <PG to just under 600 miles

Not sure if the C-Max is the same but on my old Astra the 'miles left' uses your recent mpg (say over last 20 miles) to calculate how many miles are left in the tank. Hence if you have been burning rubber to get to the petrol station it will assume you will drive like that for the next tank full. If you set off on a long journey and drive in an 'economical' way you shouldfind that the miles left actually increases initially.
