I had to PX our Volvo S60 for the Cmax due to our daughter and the fight to get her in and out of her seat through the rather small rear door aperture of the Volvo. The Volvo was a fantastic car as I'm sure your Skoda was but unfortunately needs must.
I have to say that the Cmax is growing on me and it is actually quite nice to drive. We have a lot of TDCi Focus hatchbacks at work and the Cmax seems much more refined than them to drive. Overall I am happy with the car but it is no "luxury" car by any stretch of the imagination. My first choice would have been a Mazda5 or an Honda FRVbut the diesel models are quite pricey in comparison.
The way that I look at it is that the car is a stop gap while we need a larger car while our daughter is younger. I eventually plan to go back to less of a family car, possibly a Honda S2000!!!!!!!!!
