My Cmax is a 2004 54reg Zetec and it hasn't got a heated windscreen......... Downer.
I thought all the Ford range had this but not so.

I've been looking at other Cmaxs that are for sale on the same year and some have got the button on the dash for this optionand some haven't.

Was the heated screen an optional extra?

Hmm.... interesting

Well i wonder why mine hasn't got one? And would it be easy enoughto put one in?

It would be easy enough to put the screen and the switch in for it but how wouldi know if the wiring loom is the correct one for this.

I've got one on mine, but it has a broken connection nearside and only bits of it work myside. Thinking of changing it, as work early shifts and need heated screen but expensive to replace. who on here would trust auto glass?

Either!
It's in the detail.
Wipers back in correct place, trims fitted nicely, scuttle lined up and no mucky prints showing........
I know a very reputable screen co. but Tesco ins. will only deal with Autoglass. I have to stump up a huge excess to use my choice.

I have dealt with national windscreens andI never will again. I had three widowscreens fitted bt them as they kept fitting them wrong. The first time they broke the censor for the heated windscreen and left my window wipers off they also fitted it in the dark and the blacksealent they use was everywere. Second time they fitted it to low down and I had a huge gap at the top and the censor was twisted. I phoned them and one of there employees came out tofixed it for me and he stunk of alcohol. The third time they fitted it correctly but broke my scuttle paneland scratched my car. I phoned up the aston department in birminghamand spoke to a real cocky , sarcastic , and very unhelpful
named aron. I was told by aron the
they had not done it and that it was my problem not theres. I could not really argue with them as my car at the time when the third windscreen was fitted was at bristol street motors birmingham who are another company I will never use againso as a result I was left to buy a new scuttle panel and sort the scratch out. Wow I had forgotten just how angry it got me at the time and talking about it has brought it all back

Look forward to any recommendations. Are Autoglass still at the back of B&Q (Basingstoke)?
I think to take it to them for fitting indoors rather than getting it done outside on the drive would mean a happier fitter and a better job.

My 04 place 1.6 tdci zetec does not have a heated front screen.
When I had a new screen fitted recently I noticed the wires were in place to accommodate one but there is no switch on the dashboard. Windscreen replacement man sais he was surprised to find that it hadnt got a heated screen.

Incidently there is no pollen filter either.
