hi ihad the same problem yes you do have to take the head light out. you have to undo the hex bolt on top of light and then get a long screw driver as there are two little push down hooks , one on each side of head light but dont push to hard you may break them they sort of just clip under something down there. have a look in your owners manual as they tell you how to take the head light out. as what i have said sounds wrong some how but when you look at light and manual you will see what i mean.hope this helps

Hi there, can you let me know how you get on and if the bulbs are really that much brighter, as I want to do this also, but a bit sceptical if it really is any better.

Cheers,
I upgraded both side, dipped & main beam bulbd a couple of weeks ago,it is definately worth doing as I have at least 50% brighter lighting.
Got mine from
www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk
They are very quick to deliver & very good on price

The "cut off" defined line of modern headlamps and the other related lens optics are nowadays so much better than the days of "sealed beams" and the "flat top" seperate beam fog lamps that I didn't miss not having fog lights in several previous cars.

Do you actually think that given the amount of use of fog lights thatit's worth it?
i agree its not worth doing but i think i have un diagnosed ocd i have to change them as and this may sound really stupid my new bulbs have a blue tint and my fog light ones dont meaning i have to change them so they match otherwise it will really stress me i know it sounds stupid but its the truth i am like it with everything when changing a plug fuseor light switch i have to put the screws back matching and i am totally sain honest
Straight lines and all that, I know exactly what you mean, do you make sure that when using philips screws that all the heads have to line up in a + no matter how tight you have to do it?

Everything has to match no matter what the Mrs (or Mr)says....

You are not alone!!!!!

Change them now or you will only have nightmares about it until morning.

Further advise before I miss the rest of Top Gear.

Get a spirit level, a set square, plumb line, and a lazer giuded measuring thingy from black and decker to make sure it is all squre and in line.

Have a good one.

Yeah, you can get one from the left handed boning knife shop on the high street I think, you can also get stripy paint from there as well.

Let me know eh as I need to re-paint my kitchen and i am not sure if i want the stripes horizontal or vertical.

Cheers.
