Hi

Thanks to a topic by ShortncurlyI have found the location on how to remove pollen filter, thanks very much.

In the handbook it lists the Fresh Air Filter and the Carbon Filter is this the Pollen filter???? I am trying to get rid of a horrible Pong when vents our open to fresh air and also happens for a couple of seconds when Air Conditioning is running for the first time... Garage have told me this is the case assume they are correct!!!

Are their two filters and if so does anybody now where they live????? or am i being dense.....

thanks for any poss help...

first of all, there are 2 types of air filters in your c-max:
-one that filters the air that goes into the engine
-one that filters the air that goes into the car (the one you are breathing). this one is called cabin filter (or pollen filter).

then, there are 2 types of cabin filters:
-with carbon
-without carbon

the one with carbon is a little more expensive, but it should filter the smell (the carbon component can absorb some of the odors found in the air). both of those types(with or without carbon) are ok.
