Hi

I was wondering if any one has the same problem as me, the footwells /storage compartments in the back seat floor of my c-max get damp, I only keep the kids rain macs etc. in them but they really smell musty. The carpet does not feel wet and when aired out it does not smell, until covered.

Is this a common problem or should I send the car to a garage for investigation ?

Thanks

I have a cmax. It breaks down alot butI dont have smelly foot wells.I wonderif cleaning the car with some interior cleaner would freshen it up. It may be thatsomeone has stored smelly stuff in them and the smell is lingering. I have a son andhe has a freind whos feet pong. I put his shoes in the footwell at the rear and it stunk for days.I dont know if that is the problemit is just a suggestion.

LO i keep tools in mine no pongs or dampness probably need to check under the car and make sure none of the plugs have come out. Had this problem with scenic only cure was mats out talcum powder all over floor and spray underneath with a hose....found out the french think a piece of electrical tape will cover holes in the floor pan.
