Heres a game for you ,who can come up with another use for the card slot just left of the stereo.Ihave no use for it and need an alternative.I have fuel cards in a slot on a works van,but feel there is not a lot of use for it on a family motor.No prizes just for fun.

Great idea mate. I might have a go at this - any ideas on the best method for making the bracket. Maybe use old credit cards themselves?

GOOD IDEA , I DID A SIMILAR THING WITH MY LAST CAR A SCNIC . THESE M P V MOTORS HAVE THE SCREEN TO FAR FARWARD TO USE A SAT NAV WITH EASEMOUNTED ON THE SCREEN

RE FITTING SAT NAV IN CARD SLOTS,IS IT CLEAR OF PASSENGER AIR BAG IF BAG ACTIVATED GIVE YOYU A GOOD SMACK IN FACE IF NOT

Good thinking. I reckon you would have to make sure it didnt protrude over to the left and was well clear of the airbag area. I think it would need to come over to the right and up trouble is it obscures the air vent.

I used double side velcro fitted to the dashboard for the satnav. Luckily it's the same colour so you don't really notice its their. Allows me to position satnav either for driver or passenger.

I FOUND I CAN WEDGE THE WINDOW FIXING BRACKET IN THE STORAGE HOLE ON DASH , SAT NAV SIT NICLEY IN THERE NOT TO FAR AWAY TO REACH . I HAVE RUN THE CHARGING CABLE UNDER DASH SO IT CANNT BE SEEN AND IS SIMPLE TOREMOVE SAT NAV AND BRACKET WHEN NOT IN USE SO THERE IS NO SIGN I HAVE ONEWHEN CAR IS LEFT ANYWERE

Russ that sounds like a good idea. can you provide more info? Do you mean the big lift up flap on the top of the dash?

HI , I REMOVED THE RUBBER MAT IN THE STORAGE HOLE , THEN THE 2 BLACK PIECES OF DASH EACH SIDE OF THE STORAGE AREA JUST UNCILP UPWARDS NO SCREWS HOLD THESE . THEN UNSCREW THE SELF TAPPERS THAT CAN BE SEEN SO THE CABLE CAN BE THREADED THROUGH OUT OF SIGHT , I REMOVED A SMALL BIT OF PLASTIC WITH A STANLEY KNIFE SO THE CABLE COULD RUN UN TRAPPED . IN THE PASSENGER FOOT WELL I DROPPED THE ACCESS PANEL TO THE FUSE BOX SO I COULD THREAD THE PLUG DOWN [ A BIT FIDDLEY AND JUSTCHECK THE CABLE IS NOT CATCHING ON ANYTHING ] . THEN JUST SLIPPED IT UNDER CENTER CONSOUL . WHEN NOT IN USE THE PLUG IS OUT OF SIGHT UNDER SEAT

Hi, i fully understand your directions ,this is on the new cmax i believe. the previous cmax has a different top on it with a big opening. so may not be possible to do the same but could be modifyed to suit.
