Hi everyone

Just thought I'd give everyone heads up on car jacks
The jack supplied by fords believe it to be
Scissor jack, well used this the other day (I should of used trolley jack)
But never had one to hand. Anyway jacked up the car
It become stiff I quickly put my head under the car
To see what was happening couldn't see anything in the way and the
Removed my head. Seconds later the jack collapsed bringing the car down inches from my head. Having looked at the jack and the bolt that turns with the handle all the threads completely smashed to pieces. (lucky escape )

Please don't do the same mistake I did an use a proper jack

Cheers

Evening .
How old is jack did it come with car or have you bought it recently.
No space saver got a compresser and a bottle of sealant/goo in a styrene wheel size thing .
Apparantly you use it once then chuck it away as you cant clean out sealant/goo thats what a dealer told me then you have to buy a new tyre as old one cant be fixed due to stuff in it . how true that is i don't no and i dont want to find out just got a space saver out of a focus in a breakers yard and was given jack and brace in price of space saver wont be using it .
