hi fellow forum members i have owned my c max for one year now and would like to say with hand on my heart it has being the most unreliable year of motoring i have ever had
in 1 year i have had

roof sprayed
front bumper sprayed
passenger side door sprayed
boot and a new rear bumper sprayed
new radio
new key fob
new battery
new brake pads - all round
new censor in petrol tank as i was always on empty
new air con pump
new air con condensor
new radiator
three yes three winscreens - dealers contractorcould not fit it correct
2 new scuttle panels - dealer damaged it when fitting windscreen
2 sets ofroof rails
plastic trim above fog light
brake actuater - sorry for spelling
new coil
endless software updates
new window wiper mechanism
censor or switch and module changed as car would not accelarate
wiring behindcluster had to be replaced and some other wiring repaired
needed four new tyres cheaper to buy some new alloys with tyres so i did that instead look alot better

and now to top the whole thing off ford had my car 3 weeks ago due to oil in plugs they could not find a problem as i had just cleaned plugs up so i was told to check plugs in a few weeks and see what they were like i went to do it today and i cant get the nuts out of the coils they just keep spinning meaning another trip back to the dealer to now have this problem sorted out roll on two years when i can get rid of this nightmare

oh and one other thing my car was purchesed from a very respectful dealership bristol street motors birminghan who state all there cars have a 150 point safety check before being put on salefunny that as when i looked at it on forecourt and it had being checked i noticed it had no brake padsthen when driving off the forecourt the thing just keeps falling apart
I have had my 53 plate 2.0 TDCI 1 year. The only problem was caused by previous owner having a Ford bluetooth system fitted by Chambers,Sutton Coldfield.
My car has run very very well& I`ll relace it with another one next year.
I have had dealings with BSM & I can honestly saw they are the worst dealers ever, with Chambers a very close second!
I was lucky when I saw this car for sale by non dealer trader,I was able to go over it with fine toothcomb and as it had full history,1st & 2nd service by Chambers then the previous owner must have had an issue with them cos rest of history has been done by local independant garage that I & many friends have used for years.
I`m sorry you had a bad car,BSM should know by now that many people in Bham don`t trust them as they never look afted customers once they get the money.
OH I AGREE MY EXPERIENCE WITH BUYING A CAR FROM BSM HAS NOT BEING A GOOD ONE AS IT IS SUNDAY AND GRAND PRIX IS NOT ON YET I WILL TELL YOU A BIT ABOUT IT I FIRST BROUGHT A MONDEO GHIA 2LTR PETROL 04 PLATE ONLY HAD 19000 MILES ON AND IT WAS NICE HAD SOME DAMAGE TO BACK BUMPER AND ARCH NOTHING TO RAISE REAL CONCERN SO AGREED TO HAVE THE DAMAGED REPAIRED AND THE WOULD GO BACK AND IF HAPPY I WOULD THEN BUY IT ENDED UP I SAW IT IN THE RAIN LOOKED OK SO I DROVE HOME FIRST RULE NEVER LOOK AT A CAR IN THE RAIN I BROKE THAT ONE ENYWAY TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT ON THE MONDEO THEY DID NOT SPRAY IT CORRECT PAINT CAME OFF RUNS IN LAQUER AFTER 4 TIMES OF TRYING BSM ASKED ME TO SURRENDER THE CAR AND FIND ANOTHER ON AT THAT POINT I HAD BEING SO STRESSED BY WHOLE EXPERIENCE I DID AND LEFT IT THERE ON THE FORECOURT AS A COURTESY CAR THEY GAVE ME A NEW 2LTR TDCI C MAX ZETEC UNTIL I FOUND ANOTHER CAR SO I TOOK MY TIMEI EVEN WENT AWAYTO DEVON IN IT THENAFTER DRIVING THE C MAX I ACTUALLY DID LIKE IT SO I CAME BACK AND FOUND THE ONE I HAVE NOW MY WIFE AND I ARE VERY QUITE AND TRY AND BE POLITEBUT WHEN GIVING THE COURTESY CAR BACK WE WERE BURNED OUT AND HAD JUST HAD ENOUGH SOMANAGED TO GET 1 YEARS USED CAR WARRENTY AND A FREE SERVICE AS YOU CAN SEE WARRENTY WAS A BLESSING SINCE THEN THE CAR JUST KEEPS GOING WRONG AND BREAKING I NOW TAKE MY CAR WHEN BROKE TO BSM GARRETTS GREEN THEY ARE THE BEST OUT THE LOT AND CAN BE TRUSTED THEY DONT SELL CARS THEY JUST FIX THEM SO IT IS NO HASSLE AND BELIVE ME I HAVE BEING THERE ALOT AM NOW ON FIRST NAME TERMS WITH THEM IT IS A SHAME REALLY AS I DO LIKE THE CAR IT IS JUST LIVING ON MY NERVES WONDERING WHAT WILL GO WRONG NEXT AND WILL IT COST ME A FORTUNE

OH ONE MORE THING THE 2LTR TDCI C MAX I HAD AS A COURTESY CAR WAS AWSOME TO DRIVE TOTAL DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE THAN MY 1.8 PETROL WHEN I FIRST GOT IN MY CAR FELT SO SLOW I THOUGHT IT WAS BROKEN BUT I AM USED TO IT NOW AND THINK IT IS OK DOES WHAT I AND THE WIFE NEED IT TO BUT IF I COULD JUSTIFY HAVING ONE I WOULD GET TDCI BUT I DO NOT DO NO WERE NEAR THE MILEAGE AND THE PRICE OF PETROL ALONE HAS MADE ME START WALKING PLACES I EVEN GOT THE BUS THIS WEEK ASIT WAS CHEPER THAN DRIVING TO WERE I WAS GOING TO I SPENT YEARS WANTING TO GET MY LICENSE SO I DID NOT HAVE TO WAIT FOR BUSES ENYMORE NOW I HAVEA LICENSE ANDIT HAS BECOME CHEAPER TO CATCH THE BUS
God forbid I never get a bump, but if it ever happens,I`ll take car to a local guy just up @ Mere Green {5mins walk}.He is brilliant & not too expensive, last year Mother bumped her Merc A-Class on the n/s rear door.As shre is quite elderly if had gone through insurance I think they would have fixed it then told her she is too old to drive.Brendan had it fixed & resprayed & back to us in 3 days. The colour match was perfect and you could not tell.He sprayed the bonnet on my RangeRover last October for £150,brilliant again.
I would never go to any dealer from any make again for bodywork or paint jobs again.
Anyway looking forward to a wet GP,but as I`m jiust watching the GP2 race & it`s dry I can only wait & see.
I HAD NO CHOICE DEALER WOULD NOT LET ME GO ELSWERE I GOT A QUOTE FROM A BODYSHOP BY MY HOUSE THEY QUOTED ME £800 BSM WOULD NOT HAVE THAT TO EXSPENSIVE BUT WITH ALL THE CORNERS THEY CUTI AM NOT SURPRISED AS THIS BODYSHOP QUOTED ME WITH INTENTION OF DOING THE JOB CORRECT I HAD A VAN REAR END ME SO I NEEDED A NEW BUMPER AND BOOT RESPRAYEDMY CARWENT TO UK ASSISTANCE IN STECHFORD THEY DID GOOD JOBON THE CAR AND WAS WELL CHUFFED AS THE OLD BUMPER HAD LOADS OF MARKS ON IT FROM PREVIOUS OWNER SO CAR IS SPOTLESS NOW MIND YOU IT WOULD BE I HARDLY HAVE IT TO DRIVE IT
Hi Mjshort70,

Why do you shout all the time???? posting in capital letters makes it seem like you ARE SHOUTING AT US ALL THE TIME do you see what I mean, do not take offence at this as you may be very angry with the world and like shouting, just thought I would be brave and point it out to you.

Cheers,

Wow who knew that writtingin capitals would give the impression to people who dont even know mei am angry at the world
