Bluetooth Pairing Failed v. Disconnecting the Battery CMax Energi

I purchased my 2013 CMax Energi in March 2016. Three weeks ago the car stopped pairing with my phone upon starting. I searched the web and it happens on other Ford vehicles. The fix is to disconnect the car from the battery to reset the system. I took my car to the dealer and they confirmed that this is the fix. They took my car into the shop and fixed it for free while I waited. It happened again, but now it is over the weekend.

1) How do I disconnect the battery? It is not mentioned in the Owners Manual.
2) Are you aware of a fix that doesn't involve disconnecting the battery?

Thank you!
