Artillerydave Got towbar fitted today, ended up getting a cracking price of 175 fully fitted for a swan neck Ford factory fit ball, and single electrics. Lee from Wigan Towbars did it, he is fully mobile so came to me to fit. Did a nice job of it and put in full fused relay for the electrics so should perform ace. I'd recommend him to others.

rafletcher Flanged means that the hook/ball is attached to the towbar with 4 bolts through the flanges on bar and hook, so you can if you wish fit something else to the towbar. Some cycle carriers have a plate that you can sandwich between the hook and bar flanges. A swan neck is a one-piece bar and hook, so any/all attachments have to be to the ball.

Artillerydave Indespension are so far cheapest, with 240 for a flange, and 228 for a swan neck, not quite sure of the difference though?

Artillerydave Cheers Richard, have e-mailed them, and MDS Towbars for a quote will see what they come back with!

Artillerydave Cheers Richard, just checked the link through their website and coming in at 344 fitted for a basic flange ball. Seems a bit steep to me. Looking at them on e-bay for around 80 - 100 supply only obviously.

Is there really 200 ish quids worth of labour needed to fit one?

Richard G Depending where in the NW you are. Witter's themselves are close to Chester

Artillerydave Hi guys,

picking up my 57 plate C max tomorrow, and am looking at either getting a tow bar fitted, or fitting one myself. Any advice on places to buy, respective fitting costs and recommended places in North West England would be most welcome.

Am a reasonably competent individual, however not sure regarding vehicle electrics and the like. Any and all advice welcomed.

I am assuming an 08 towbar will fit this.
Anyone know different.
