I take it your C-Max is a straight Hybrid (not a plug-in hybrid)?
Although I have the plug-in "energi" version, I notice that I get around low-40s when I'm on extended trip.
One thought; I just replaced my tires at 52,000 miles. I wonder if you did too, given your 60K miles. If so, if the tires are not duplicates of the original Michelins, they may account for lower mileage. Or, lower pressure -- I think my label says 38 lbs...
Does anyone know of better-mpg tires for summer? I just got a set of winter Michelin Ice-Xs for snow...
I enjoy reading of C-Maxers' experiences here,

My 2013 C-Max with 60K miles has had an average life time mileage of 46.1mpg. (47-49 summer/43-44 winter) Since the last oil change the mileage has dropped to 44 summer and 41 winter with overall average of 45.9mpg. The dealer suggested a new air filter under the hood, which I did without improvement. Today I had a 'diagnostic' with the machine and test drive and the tech could find nothing wrong. He wrote it off as 'as cars get older, they don't perform as well'... I am having trouble accepting his explanation. Ideas? What are others with the same year/with 60K miles experiencing? thank you.
