Traded in my much loved c class merc for this grandads wagon!
Quite pleased so far but desperate that on the first 200 miles of town driving I have averaged just 25 mpg !Can this be correct ??

Hi & welcome,I think 25mpg is probably about right for the 1.6 as it is the least powerful of the engines available & the car is heavier than a focus/golf.On a run you`ll get better.MM

Hi Philsas , i have the 1.8 petrol which on short town trips gives a heady 23/24 mpg , i bought the car expecting at least the 29 mpg that Fords give for urban driving, must be one of the worst mpg to engine size around, I owned a 2 litre petrolmk3 mondeo before and that was giving 27/28 mpg for the same urban use!!

2007(57 reg) mk2 1.8 petrol Zetec colarado red,Sony 6 cd,f/r parking sensors.
