HelloNew to forum...i do appoligise if this has already been discussedI have a 16tdi auto cmax 57 plate..just noticed the rear tyres need replacing, my local garage usually fits maxxis tyres which seem to be ok but im not that impressed with the wear, 41000 miles on the clock front change 3 times since new and rears twice withnew set required.Could anyone recommend through own experience what tyre may give me better wear with the obvious saftey requirements !!! i am not a style icon so name isnt important wear and and saftey are....i may be asking a lot more from my tyres but i do feel that i spenda lot of time and money at the garage changing tyres ....

Hi -My own personal experience is that I have a 2010Mk2 1.6TDCi manual with16" Michelin Primacy HP. At the 12,500 service recently the fronts were measured at 6mm of tread remaining, so potentially I could achieve 37,500 miles of use(with 2mm remaining). I have to assume that type & style of driving will have an impact. I personally do about 80-90% of my driving on dual carriageways and motorways, so little braking or corners.

our 1.6 Diesel has had Goodyear NCT 5 and the later pattern and presently has Dunlop Fast Response all of which seem relatively quiet and grip well and give good tyre life
