Due to collect new cmax 1.6 tdi very soon. Trading down from 2.0 tdi smax hoping I'm going to be as pleased with the C as I've been with the S

Don't need the space just the higher seating position for shifting my elderly mum!

Went for titanium spec, 5 seats with city pack. Should take delivery within next 7 days.

Cheers

As time passes, you'll appreciate the higher seating position for shifting your elderly self! LOL Welcome aboard.

Cheers Colin!

Had it a week now and some mixed feelings, like the radio and night time colours, like the size and comfort. Not too impressed by the economy so far ( worse than my 2.0 smax), very not impressed by the dealer who can't tell the time, doesn't know the date and didn't deliver with drive off lock enabled so it's to to go back

Hopefully minor irritations will not spoil overall ownership experience

Wecome to the 'club'.
I would suggest, that you add your spec as part of signature. It makes thing easier when you have a problem as everyone can see at a glance what vehicle and what spec you have. am assuming you have the Sony system, so you should be able to change the screen colours. Unless you mean the blue lighting for the display......
In the case of the 1.6 I seem to be surpassing the economy of many with my 2.0l. The extra weight of the Grand C-Max benefits greatly from the bigger engine when under load. Saying that with anew 'Max it needs around a 1000 mile to settle down. Check in the manual, as it is noted in there.. save me typing

Going back tomorrow to have the drie off look enabled and the date set, I can't change the date from the settings menu

About 300 miles now 48 mpg showing still quite poor I think. (5 petals on the Eco thingy). Even when it frees off I'm not expecting much over 50 now which is disappointing as I was expecting at least a 10% improvement on my previous smax. ( which even from zero miles gave 48 - 52 mpg).

Hmmmm....

Too many cars, not enough time
1.6 tdci titanium - quite possibly the slowest car I\'ve owned for 20 years

Hmmmm,
Dealer can't do drive off lock , I'd of thought either they'd do it or know it couldn't be done!
