I've been an owner of a 2005 C-Max 1.6 tdci with CVT gearbox for 50,000 trouble free miles. I stumbled on the site and decided to join you all. I have one question: My front driver door speaker has blown it and I'm going to replace it. Is there a good quality speaker set that you would advise me to get rather than genuine spares? Never had to do this on any other car I've owned so don't know what the pitfalls are i.e. easier to buy 1 genuine ford speaker or pair of better speakers etc. Look forward to some advice on this.

Hi,welcome to the site.Glad your pleased with your C-Max.
To answer your question about speakers, there are lots out there.Try this place
www.passionauto.co.uk
They have a huge stock at reasonable prices.
I suppose you could always try Halfords if you can find a member of staff & if you can find one who actually knows what they are talking about & not just making it up.
If you have a good look around,if you see some you like you can always try to get them cheaper off the internet.
Good luck
MM

Hi and welcome!

With regards to to your speaker problem, I would say replace both the speakers in the doors rather than one.

Thanks, For your info. Managed to get a quote from a local audio specialist who recommended apair of uprated PIONEER speakers, fitted for 100 all in. Good reputation and knew what speakers were in my car as soon as I told him I had a C-Max.Many thanks
