Be careful with any of the early models (you're probably having a newer one though)and I think the main concensus would be DO NOT have one with the Constantly Variable Transmission (CVT) autogearbox

Do check all the electrical switches and buttons and try to check any serice history
If it has a tyre inflation kit instead of a proper "spacesaver" spare wheel it might be worth trying to get a "good deal" out of the seller

Hi Debbit,welcome to the club.
Whatsize engine is it?
Things to check are if it`s had a new alternator, these go on any age car no matter what the mileage is,check the service history & make sure it is up to date & the book stamped.Check for wear on all tyres especially the fronts.Does the a/c blow cold? if not get them to re gas it & make sure every thing works ie electric windows, heated rear window...etc.
best of luck.

Hi debbiet and welcome

Like everyone has said, prod, poke, switch on & off everything, make sure you get two keys and don't be afraid to ask questions like the ones from Richard and MM.

I know the comments made may seem like a knightmare but as with any car, they have all had there faults and sorting them out before you sign on the dotted line will make owning the car that bit more fun!

I know of something else
If it is possible before you buy try to get to read ALL the terms of any warranty that is either offered or which they wish to sell extra especially for what items it doesn't cover and any paticular conditions on how the items it does cover may be limited. (e.g. a lot of engine warranties require you to have the vehicle serviced by the manufacturer's dealer)

Welcome to the Club.
All you`ve got to remember with an Auto is to not left foot brake!, When my Grandad taught my Brother to drive an Auto he said sit on your left leg or tuck it back next to the seat!
