Newbie with a couple of questions

Greetings all.

I live in North Derbyshire with my Hubby and mental JRT. I have had my 1.6 05 plate Cmax Ghia for around 2.5 years. I work at a vets and have been nursing for about 7 years.

No major problems apart from the usual female not being able to revers well - scraped the bumper after having it 2 weeks and smashed the rear window by reversing into a digger (yes I know, big bright yellow stationary object, you would think difficult to miss) and a fly wheel giving up and scattering plastic through the engine.

My current problem is that the boot doesnt always release even when the unlock button in pressed twice - never replaced batteries or fuses.
My other problem is that the car seems to use engine coolant, I did have the same problem with the 3 Ka's I owned previously with no ill effect, is it just a ford thing?

Thanks very much and look forward to your reply's
