Hi all

Ive had my cmax about 4 years now and aside for the drivers seat side trim coming adrift, the vast amount of money ive put in the fuel tank and replacing tyres more than is healthy, ive enjoyed drivnig/owning it , until now......
Jan 2010 it died, EPB warning light and a burnt out alternator, my local mech replaced with a genuine ford part.
A week ago same EPB light came on when i start it with message EPB Limited Function?? My mech guy ran a diagnostics check and came up with an error code of C1827 which apparently ford themselves dont even know what it is.. They though it was the alternator about to go bang again! My car has done less than 60k, surely i cant need another alternator?
Sorry to rant on, any help is most apreiciated

Hi Matt & welcome to the club. If,when the alternator was replaced a genuine fraud part was used, then there is every chance that it is on the blink again.Sorry to be the pervayer of bad news,MM
