Hi just bought cmax 1.8 ghia picking up Wednesday.

Anything worth checking before i buy it?

electric handbrake issues?

jaddy1-57 1.8ffv zetec,moondust silver,sport pack(17 inch alloys,body colour spoiler,sports seats and sports suspension),panorama roof,privacy glass,cruise control,sony cd.

What should I look for the handbrake works ok my only concern will be hill starts does it have a hill hold function?

No you just have to get used to timing when to release the break, dont forget the brake will only release when the clutch is fully down so a bit of roll back is likely. Most times now I dont use the hand break on a hill start just the foot break then release the clutch slightly to hold the car move to the accelerator and pull away.

Well mentioned Mike, mine cost me over 400 last month but that did include a bit extra for recovery due to being on the way to catch a flight. I had done around 70,000 miles.

Thanks for the replies I will check out the alternator tomo. Will work on the hill starts sounds fun lol.

Does anybody think it would be worthwhile extending warranty for a year. Bought car from local ford dealer and they offered one year for 299
