New owner 1.8 petrol 2008

Hi im Zak
Just put a deposit down on a secondhand c-max.
I pick it up tomorrow.

Only 27000miles on it and one previous owner. (old man)

Ford garage were very helpful and have really excelled.
4 new tyres
Service
Buffed paint work
Polished
Valet
1 Years warranty
1 Years AA
New passenger side mirror
Fitted ISO fix brackets
Also putting it through its NCT. (Irish MOT)

All under 10000

Anything I should be looking out for?
Also wondering what mpg I can expect?
There was a light on the dash. A car sliding? Said they would fix that too.

Trading up from a 98 tigra. We just had a baby 4 weeks ago. Needed the extra space and convenience.

Not really, seems you've got a good deal, with a decent dealer!

No news is good news!

I agree, you seem to have bought a good car from a good dealer.
Congratulations and welcome to the club.

The 'car skidding light' probably means that the anti-lock braking system or the ESB (Electronic Stability Control) (if fitted) isn't working. Make sure they fix that!

It may be that ESB is switched off, in which case you can turn it back on using the car computer menu.

Ok so the light was the E.S.C it was an ABS pump that needed changing. He included that in the price too. said it cost 350.

Will I be able to check the battery myself? I have a multimeter.

Can't see any problem with your doing battery check

Thanks for all your help guys.

I'm still not sure what mpg to expect. I know it's early but in the last 22 miles according to the dash I've only got 26.5mpg average. I thought I'd been very careful on the gas though.
