Hiya everyone,

Just puchased my new car. Didn't play by the buyers rules at all.
Looked at the vehicle in fading light after rain/sleet with snow half covering it!
Still havn't really had a good look round yet. Might be best not to.
Question; is it possible to just bolt on a rear bumper with parking aids?
Are the electrics already there on the loom?
Many thanks

Hi, Welcome to the Club.
In short, no, you cannot just bolt on another bumper, you need a Parking aid module, I think some of the wiring might be in place already.

Thanks for the welcome. I thought it would be more complicated getting sensors put on.
Never mind, just have to use spacial skills instead!

Hi Archie & welcome to the club.Early cars such as yours & mine do have extra items added to the loom, but with nought connected to them.if you want parking sensors fitted, try an aftermarket kit.My local Aladins cave has these kits on sale for under 50.Some minor drilling is required for the sensors. They contain all destructions & can also be got from halfords. There`s an auto sparkie by me who will supply & fit both front & rear kits for about 100 (not bad) although I`ve not had them fitted as of yet.MM
