Hello Everyone.
Looking to get a C-max soon, at the moment im thinking of a 2L Diesel Ghia unless anyone can advise me differently. Had a Mk 1 2L Focus Petrol Ghia for nearly8 years was very happy with thathardly anyproblems, the strangest was the rear wheel bearings failing it had only done about 65k but didnt take long to fix, oh and those nasty drop links. Have an Audi A2 at the moment
Any advise would be appretiated I have around 5k to spend.
Thanks !

Hi bartman,welcome to the club.
The 2.0TDCI Ghia is not a bad moter, just make sure all the electrics work.
If poss, find out if it`s had a new altenator,if not, start it up & switch on every electrical device you can find inc heated screens front, rear fogs & heated seats (if fitted). If the battery light comes on,then it needs a new alt, don`t let them fob you off.

Fraid the alt is a common fault,at least with mk1 C-Max,however quite a few mk2`s have the problem too.
I found it best to buy an alt from an independant source (after shopping around) & getting it fitted by a local garage.
I think I savedover 75 by not going to fraud.
