hello allive just purchased a 57 plate c-max titanium in panther black with the 135bhp 2.0tdci, im very happy with the car all but a few squeaks and rattles but apparently thats a common complaint so im not too worried. i wanted the 135bhp engine as im an ex boy racer and now a devoted daddy so needed a family orientated car. i would still like a bit more power (bit of boy racer still in me) so i imagine that a lot of my inputs on here will be performance based so if you can help please do.i look forward to speaking to you all and hope i can add something positive to the forum myselfanyway im going to have a browsethanks, will

Hi Will & welcome to the club.I wanted a bit more ooomff out of my Max (same engine as yours),so I fitted a K&N panel air filter & a Tunit digital box.The box is adjustable from 1 - 9.1 is the lowest setting & only adds a little mpg.5 will give you about 150/160bhp & a good load of extra tourqe (plus more mpg if used lightly)9 will give UP to 200 bhp & 300lbs tourqu ( I had mine on a rolling rd to get the measurements).
Mine is usually set at 5 & it gives plenty enough poke & excellent mpg (up to 60+ on a run @ 70mph & 40+ round town).

It`s perfectly safe,my Mrs uses the car more than me & she loves it.When I first fitted the Tunit she was worried but once she had driven it she said it had transformed the car!!!I found that 5 was the best general setting as it gives the best of mpg & oommff.I got the air filter from a specialist motorsport site, but you can get them from halfords.Part No is 33-2886.
