Hi everyone,

Introducing a Landrover nut who has and loves Land- Rover S2 /2A, slowly rebuild 1959 model. Until 3 years ago had LR Defender loved it to bits BUT unable to drive safely due to condition caused by Chemotherapy. Bought C-Max 2.0Tdci Ghia in 2006, has no soul (like the LR (read bits dropping off) but it does everything I through at it inc towing my caravan through a 1/4 muddy entrance without getting stuck to the last LR club rally. I love it.

Spec Bought new (ordered) in 2006 2.0ltr Tdci Ghia.
Colour - Jeans
Seats - Ebony
Extras:-
Sunroof
Solar Screen
EPS/Traction Control
Towbar

Likes:-

Economy - 35-40 round town, 55-60 on run, 27-30 towning caravan.
Performance.
Ease of access (high seats)
Space.
Tows extremely well.

Dislikes:-

Seats attract all sorts of fluff, hair, dust etc very difficult to hoover off.
Gen Ford boot liner has worn away the boot side cards/liners.
Rear seats fiddly and heavy to remove.

Bits I have added.

Gen ford boot liner - excellent except above
Gen Ford Mudflaps
Gen Ford mats.
Cardboard boot liner (see above re ware etc)
Switch for boot lamp (as I use veh as workshop with tailgate open for long periods)

Thinking of:- K&N, Tunit module.

Vehicle now due MOT (March) and 3 year service has only done 17200 from new.

Thats it really, thanks for having me, hope to contribute in future.

Greetings.I too have a LandRover but mine`s a Range Rover Classic with a 4.0 V8.Just got it charged up & ready for use in the snow as it`s far safer than the C-Max.Speaking of which,I have a 2.0 TDCI Zetec & have a K&N air filter & a Tunit box fitted (both exellent).

Update to intro post.

Now fitted K+N, instant difference and now averaging 38mpg round town, short journeys, but it seems to have more grunt lower down. Off to Herefordshire next week so will be interested to see how the difference is on a run.

Oh forgot to say, went to have a look at the 2litre TDCi with powershift last week, cheeky b-----s wanted to give 5500 for the above vehicle in showroom condition! needless to say I'm keeping Max now, MOT in next two weeks with service. I'll keep you informed of progress.

regards.

Hi and welcome.

Would you mind if I copied your love & hate part of your post and post it in the good and bad thread?
I know I must really fit a tow bar to ours as we would love to obtain a caravan for some nice and cheap hols.

Mike
I think you ought to apply to Tunit for a satisfied customer sales position
(Tongue very firmly in cheek) but over to you
