Just wanted to say hi to all the members... What a great site... looking forward to using it.
I have owned my C-Max for 3 months now and not been the best of times but hope things settle down . Fuel consumption being my biggest nightmare...
Got the car and after 3 weeks i noticed the ave consumption was reading 30.3 mpg (not good) The car went back to ford dealer and they did a software update and that changed it to 38-40 on a long run 300-400 motorway miles with only myself in the car at constant 70mph.
Things are not getting any better and car has been back to main dealer and they say that it is as good as it ever will be?????
Has anyone on here got a 2008 2.0 TDCI 136 BHP C-Max that can conform this for me, mine has done 21000 miles?
Thanks and keep up the good work..

Hi, welcome to the club!=
At 20K miles I would expect it to have "run in" by now. Ours has 8K on it now, I can get 50+Mpg if I drive it as gently as possible, mid 40's around town with occasional run is about our Avg & low 40's with the Mrs driving it.
My only advice would be try gentle driving anticipaing road conditions etc... no hard accels and change gear @ around 2K revs.

Hi & welcome to the club.
As Kevmond says,it should be well & truly run in by now.
I know mine`s a lot older than yours but I get mid 40`s round town & up to 60+on a run doing 70ish.I do however have a Tunit box & a K&N air filter fitted.

Thanks for theresponses, I have been driving the car like a nun..boring as anything (was going to use another word)..
No more than 70 mph and keeping the rev's below 2000... The car is going back to fords asIspent a lot of money on the car and at the momentIwishIhad kept my VW Passat TDI...
I will let you know the outcome from Ford.

Have you tried checking the consumption tankful to tankful rather than relying on the computer?
