Just wanted to say hello and that I have owned a Sea Grey2007 [07] 1.6i petrol C Max for almost 12 months.I am generally pleased with it but have only travelled 1000mls in it to date.So its almost due its first MOT.One thing I am concerned about is the fuel consumption as at best on a long run I am only achieving 35.1 mpg according to the computer.I do not run the aircon, and try and drive economically[local Ford Dealer Service Manager says that is good to average??..Does anyone have any experience of this ?

Hi, Welcome to the club!
To me 35Mpg sounds good for a 1.6 petrol, it is a reasonably large car, same wheelbase as a mk1 Mondeo!
Maybe someone else can confirm this Mpg.

hi Thomas and welcome , I had a 08 1600 petrol for a year and consumption was a constant nightmare , frequently being 31 - 34 terrible . Ended up with diesel , lot happier now !

Sounds right but please start using the air con or it will dry up! Using the air con will hardly dent the MPG
