Just had my 57 plate 2.0 TDCi for 2 weeks now and am finding it great. Its only got 2700 miles on the clock so i suppose it needs to loosen up a bit before i start getting decent consumption.

It's going on its first decent run to Kendall tomorrow so am hoping it carries on as well as it has so far.

According to the computer I am getting about 42mpg which is pretty poor really.

I commute 25 miles each way and was getting 50 mpg in my 2.0 TDCi mondeo.

It's on country roads and the last 4 miles is on dual carriageway which has a 50 mph limit.

Will my consumption get any better.

I am now averaging 40mpg which as I have mentioned before is awful.

Am driving no different to when I had my Mondeo and on the same roads.
