Hello All,

Just a quick introduction..

Me and the wife have purchased a Silver 1.6tdci zetec 08, so far so good. Slight minor problem with the drivers door handle not fully depressing ie (Not fully going flush) this results in the door handle sometimes doing nadda if trying to open... hmm (Booked into Ford). However on a positive note; The car drives sublime, very responsive and positive. Mind I would say that coming from a Nissan Micra 1.2 S .

MPG seems ok-ish... its doing 45.9 at the moment (Mixture motorway and crawling )... one thing I have noticed is even the slightest touch on the accelarator at 70 causes the instant MPG to go from say 59 (on a flat road) to like 30 mpg. Its like a balancing act to keep the instant MPG above 50.... everytime I drive it, it's a challenge to keep it as high as possible .

Anyway thats enough blabber for now me thinks.

you might find a little WD40 or similar on the sliding plastic partshelps or a case or warming a little with a hair dryer. I have had problems with partial sticking handles recently due to the frost / ice which could be the same with you also

Quick update

Handle fixed.. yaaay... right tweeter not working now booooo

Turns out the handle assembly needed replacing in full. Big job from what I was told, thank goodness covered by warranty.

Car booked in again to have right tweeter reconnected... although how easy it to get to it? I have taken many door cards off... but because this is the first car we have had under warranty, not sure I should do this... Downside is Ford reckon next week at the earliest!! .. my Music sounds pants

O well. Still loving the car and MPG now settled to about 47.8 so not bad for winter.
