Hello everyone I am new to your forum.
Ipicked up my 07 1.8 diesel yesterday, and so far am very pleased. Long time since I owned a Ford. Last one was an early CVH Escort that put me off somewhat, but having driven a Focus at work I am now converted.
I have no intention of doing much to it other than getting a spare wheel and jack, (I can't be done with glue and ditching a tyre everytime I get a puncture) and fitting a towbar. I will also need to get a suitablecage for my dogs as they have been used to a conventional estate car.
Hopefully I will speak to you on the forum.
Regards
PG

Hello and welcome

I'll be test driving "our" C Max this weekend so will see if it has the spare wheel as I too prefer that as oppose to the foam gunk.

There are dog guards (Halford is one) that fit to the back of the rear seat head rests as opposed to the Ford version where you have to cut the headlining.
Our two sit on a waterproof cover on the backseat with their harness fitted to the seat belts

Hi Richard

Thanks for that, I prefer a cage as if for example you are stuck in traffic or break down on a hot day you are able to open the tail gate and let the dog have air, its also possible to use one of the many lock extensions so as to lock the tailgate partly open if you have to park up unexpectedly on a hot day. These things you can't realy do if the dogs are just loose in the back.

Regards

PG
