hello just introducing myself.. have had my cmax tdci since feb08 its now nearly 170,000 miles!
just had rear shocks replaced..other than that an alternator and battery plus routine maintenance..
has anyone got any good advice on better lighting?
i fitted a h.i.d kit on a fiat coupe with excellent results last year..would this be a good option? anyone done this and was it easy? if its plug and play i guess the hardest part will be ballast positioning?
i see you can buy a h7 hid kit for less than 40 now so very tempting considering how good hids are compared to normal lighting..
cheers in advance mj

Hi, Welcome to the Club!.

I have toyed with the idea of fitting Osram upgrade bulbs, but have other things to spend my hard on at the moment, and besides, the lights are better than my old Mk2 Mondeo with Phillips blue vision bulbs fitted. Hindsight says I should of removed them before scrapping it, too occupied with making it a Pop plus spec from a Ghia X ( some Items on E-Bay BTW!! ).

HID Kitsappear to begood, give a great light, I've not had too much to do with them though.

I have nightbreakers in the dipped beam and I think to get the most out of the improvement you have to make sure you beam alignment is spot on to the height limit of 1.3% down (equivalent to 1 inches in 10 feet)
