I haverecentlyinheriteda 2003 C-max 1.8 petrol from my uncle having lost my free wheels because of redundancy.
There are one or two niggly things wrong and I could certainly do with some guidance.
There is a tendancy for the engine to race (2000rpm)for a few seconds when starting to idle. It settles down to about 900rpm but seems to hunt a bit. Could this be caused by the control valve? If so where is it to be found?
Also, the rattling tailgate is proving to be a pain. I have moved the catch plate about and this helped a bit, but has not cured the problem. Are there any other adjustments I can make?
