Hi everyone,

I'm not yet an C-Max owner currently have a VW Touran (recently a victim of ABS comman fault).

Just have two qick questions for you guys.

1. Can you fit three car seats across the rear seats?
2. Is there a mk1 and a mk2 version of the c-max, if so what year are the mk2's?

cheers
Lee

Hello and welcome to the C-Max Owners Club.

I'm not sure on your first question but in answer to your second question.

The Mark 1 C-Max is known as the Focus C-Max and was around from 2003-2007.

The Focus name was dropped in 2007 to become the C-Maxand I think these start on a 57 plate, these can be identified by having a chrome strip above the grill and LED rear lights.

Hope this helps.

Hi Lee,
Only a newbie myself but in relation to the 1st question (I have 3 kids) isunfortunatelya not really. It is possible, we have tried but the middle passenger will have difficulty plugging the seatbelt in. We currently have a baby seat and 2 x booster seats. I am sure that with a little shopping around which I plan to do very soon, a slightly narrower booster seat would fit in the middle with ease.I will let you know if I am successful in my pursuit!

Thanks for the replies guys.....I still not 100% sure on what to do at the moment.

I love my Touran and TBH it's the perfect size for my family (3 girls 5, 3, 1) but the ESP fault's going to cost 1K at least to fix.

Currently I have a Britax first class, evola 2,3 and a Maxi Cosy XP. Sounds like I don't have much chance off getting them to fit (not sure that many car do ). Please let me know how you get on with the car seats.

Thanks again
Lee
