doggie

Just returned after having the new model focus for a year, prior to that a 2008 Cmax 1.6tdci panther black with 18inch alloys and a pig to keep clean.
After the Cmax i thought i would have a change and had the focus 1.6tdci frozen white, although a very good car, apart from those horrible triangles in the front grill, rear lights and the small boot,i missed the light airy roomy Cmax and the large boot.
So had a new model Cmax 2wks ago and love it,the handling is really sharp on those 18 inch wheels economy wise its telling me 55mpg which is really 50mpg on fill ups with steady driving.not bad on a tight engine.
Cmax titanium in lunar sky,convienience pack,space saver spare,with 18
inch alloys.

55mpg is pretty good (even if you think it's really less). I've just come back from a 2,000 mile trip and got 45.4 overall (mostly French motorways at around 75 mph average). Our previous C-Max (2004 diesel) did 50mpg on the same trip.

I should have added that the old C-max was a 2.0, so we're getting significantly worse mpg with the new smaller-engined one. :-(
