Hi

I've been reading your great forum for a while now, while looking out for a C-Max in our price range.

I think I have finally found the right one, and have put down a depoist and am heading up tomorrow morning.

Its a FORD Focus C-Max 1.8 TDCi LX 07 reg with 40k on the clock.

I'm sure you all get asked this alot, but is there anything obvious I should be looking out for tomorrow?

Thanks!

Hi & welcome to the club.
Just check the air com blows cold & that the engine cooling fan is working with it,Just start it up,bonnet open, and leave it running with the a/c on,the fan should switch itself on/off quite often. If the fan does not come on after 5 mins, the there is a fault so walk away as it could (worst case) cost 400.Also at the same time, switch all the lights (fogs too),heated rear screen (front too if it`s fitted),if the battery light/engine light comes on again walk away as it could cost 300+ as it is probably the atlernator that has gone/on way out.
Hope you get non of these probs.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm pleased to say that after a little delay in viewing the car, I finally went to see it tonight and purchased the car.

I'm picking it up on Friday

So a simple question, I noticed the radio had an Aux button but I checked the glove box for a port, but couldnt see one anywhere. So one of the first things I'd like to do is get that wired up, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I think on the 2007 model the input socket was an option. If you've not got one you need a module that plugs in to the back of the head unit and phono lead.
Try ebay, I think you can get kits that include the head unit removal tools and the plug in module?
