08 1.6 petrol Zetec in silver with Alloys, the dark glass at the back and it looks great. May be a tad under powered compared to a 1.8 but I am willing to trade that off against my hope that I will be better off in general terms as it was a bit cheaper to start with and I hope will be slightly better in the long run on the fuel and tax front.
Had to persuade SWMBO against an 09 Focus she had seen with 3k miles and buy the 08 C-Max with 11k miles. Its replacing a Picasso.
No spare tyre though!!! I was already taken by the car when I realised and the dealer assured me that he hadn't snaffled it himself and that the original owner must have opted for a compressor and a spray can of filler seeing as there was some sort of compartment thing in the boot where the tyre would be. Seems crackers to me that anyone would sell a car without a spare!

Hi, Welcome to the Club!
Your right about the Spare, Why people don't opt for one escapes me, it's all about cost for the manufacturer to do away with it though.

Welcome to the club, Ant. Glad to see another 1.6 petrol owner - that makes 6 of us . Pity about the spare, but otherwise I'm sure you'll really like the car. It's no rocket ship, but it's good fun to drive, the engine's great and revs really easily, so you'll get about fast enough. It's really comfortable [compared to the focus], the MPGs not bad [I get 33 urban and 43 motorway] and, most importantly, it's reliable and seems not to need 'extra maintenance' between services. Yours sounds like a great buy.

I'm new - bought mine last week, 2004, 1.6 LX. Looks good, loads of space, good seats, nice precise driving, but after two days had problem with power steering. 5 days later needs new power steering pump. So once that's fixed, looking forward to some happy miles.

Hi & welcome to the club.
I was lucky in that the previous owner of my Max thought to got fot a full size spare & not a space saver or a can of gas.

my cmax (when it arrives) is on 18 inch wheels so a full size spare is not really an option
